She offers varied Chiropractic techniques which are tailored to your individual needs to eliminate Central Nervous System interference and bring your body back into alignment.

GOAL: Optimum functioning. It is more than symptom removal; it is reaching and maintaining peak performance.

INSIGHT: We are amazing self-regulatory, self-healing mechanisms providing there is no interference with the process.

SELF HEALING & HEALTH: Chiropractic assists by simply removing the interference (subluxation) to your central nervous system through a gentle and precise spinal adjustment. Then your innate intelligence which requires no conscious thought, takes the best routes towards attaining optimum functioning.

CHIROPRACTIC IS WORKING “WITH” THE BODY.

The nervous system is the master control system of the body. The goal is to use varied Chiropractic techniques to eliminate Central Nervous System ( CNS ) interference and bring your body back into alignment. Remember that the nervous system controls every function performed by the body directly or indirectly. Therefore, ANY problem can be improved with a better functioning nervous system.

This is why those who come to a chiropractor seeking help with treatment resistant back pain, neck pain or headaches often find chiropractic helps their entire well being and want to continue even if only on the level of an as needed maintenance schedule. Chiropractic is an integral part to any balanced health care design.

3 PRIMARY AREAS OF CNS INTERFERENCE

The spinal adjustment can counter affects from various negative impacts and help the body best heal itself. The most common negative interferences include:

  1. Physical Trauma: Early on, the spine can be affected by the birth process, learning to walk or ride a bike, or playing sports. As adults, the function of our spines can be diminished by car accidents, repetitive motions, long periods of sitting, improper lifting, and many everyday activities. All kinds of old or new body impacts or habitual strain movements from prenatal to birth and on across the age span can result in misalignments and eventual degeneration of the spine affecting the CNS.

  2. Emotional Stress: Emotional or relationship stresses impact the CNS via the mind-body connection. Researchers studying the “mind – body” connection are finding that many types of physical complaints are related to poor emotional health. Muscles and soft tissues of the spine are commonly involved. Everything from deadlines and financial worries to traffic jams and stress can cause spinal problems. It has been hypothesized that 70% of the back issues are a result of emotional stresses not physical trauma. This is why here at Green Wave we also offer counseling, life coaching, massage and Other relaxing forms of healing technologies to be used as needed in conjunction with chiropractic care.

  3. Poor nutrition or toxins: We are made heavily of what we eat on purpose or not. Nutritional neglect, dehydration, drugs/alcohol and/or environmental toxins all can affect weight gain, hormonal changes, muscle tones, and the nervous system functions. Further, these issues can lead to serious chemical imbalances that can have diverse effects including calcium deposits that reduce joint mobility and make complete correction difficult in the spine and extremities.

These three primary areas of CNS interference simply can result in overall stress that can overwhelm the body and may cause the bones of the spine (vertebrae) to go out of alignment. This lack of alignment will affect the tone of the body as well as often interfere by blocking the nerves and blood vessels, which go to everything in the body. It will also interfere with the innate functioning of the body. The main purpose of the chiropractor is to reduce the affects of such interferences to your inborn, innate healing ability through adjustments. The Chiropractor does not heal you; but rather is a co-facilitator with you helping remove the interferences in your body, assisting your better choices of a more healthy environment and adjusting your spine to develop a proper spinal alignment all helping you and your body to heal thyself.

3 TYPES OF CHIROPRACTIC CARE

  1. Initial Intensive Care: If an ache, pain or other obvious symptom has prompted you to begin chiropractic care, the first thing you want is to feel better. Office visits will be frequent and your adjustments may be combined with other procedures to help offer relief. Typically, the average patient experiences a decrease in symptoms sometimes as soon as the completion of the first visit to generally within the first 3 visits. It is important to realize however, that depending upon your age, condition, and lifestyle, repeated visits over weeks or months may be needed to reduce or eliminate your symptoms. The main design and goal of the initial intensive care phase is to eliminate symptoms of pain and dysfunction and to begin the process of helping the body heal itself.

  2. Rehabilitative Care: Muscle and other soft tissue damage often remain after your original symptoms have improved. Rehabilitative care stabilizes your spine and promotes more complete healing. Visit frequency is reduced and you may be encouraged to supplement your care with exercises or other self-care procedures. With your aches and pains primarily gone, true healing can occur. In essence, you are still at the stage of training the spine, muscles and tendons to hold the more healthy positions. Stopping care now may risk a relapse.

  3. Maintenance Care: When spinal correction is reached, Chiropractic “Checkups” can help preserve and maintain your progress. Occasional visits can help catch little problems before they become serious. Wellness-minded adults choose this type of care for themselves and their children. Often visits are set up as needed by the patient. Like other preventative health measures, Maintenance Care saves time and money by helping you stay well.

CHIROPRACTIC CARE FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN

The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) is a non-profit organization of chiropractic family practitioners dedicated to advancing public awareness and attainment of the chiropractic family wellness lifestyle

www.icpa4kids.com. They offer collected and ongoing research on the importance of chiropractic care for youth. The ICPA is a group of professional researchers and practitioners who support as does Dr. Tali, Chiropractic care throughout pregnancy, birth, and childhood.

Why It Is So Important To Adjust Your Child

Dr. Tali’s father was a chiropractor so she knows firsthand the benefits of growing up in a chiropractic family. She practices what she preaches by making sure her son Evan (born 1-19-07) has received “Dr. Mom’s” chiropractic adjustments since birth. Dr. Tali believes strongly in the view that all children deserve the best chance to express peak health and potential. It is a child’s nervous system that controls their amazing development. It controls the healing of the body and influences the person they will grow to be. Knowing this, it is imperative that their nervous system is working properly. For this to occur, the child’s nervous system must be free of vertebral subluxations or central nervous system interferences. The ICPA’s research and experience supports chiropractic as a safe, pain free and natural way to help children develop to their full potential. Dr. Tali believes all children deserve to have their nervous system checked by a doctor of Chiropractic to promote healthy development and to help establish a wellness lifestyle.

Common Reasons Parent Seek Chiropractic Care

Common reasons parents seek chiropractic care for their infants and children include trauma (either accident or bumps and bruises received during play and sports), colic, ear infections, asthma, ADHD, allergies and headaches (to name a few). Also parents share with other parents the positive chiropractic effects seen with their children like improved sleeping, improved behavior and attitude and improved immune system function. The list of benefits is potentially endless because chiropractors do not heal disease; they align the spine to help the body more efficiently heal itself.
